Dome Camera

Security Camera Systems
Fixed dome cameras are security camera systems that hold a single position, unlike a PTZ dome camera, which can pan, tilt, and zoom in or out. Many domes are smoked or otherwise not clear, making it hard for a person to tell what the camera is viewing.

Dome security camera systems are very versatile, with vandal-proof, weatherproof, day/night, and various combinations readily available. Day/night capability means the security camera systems are color by day and black and white at night. They can be mounted almost anywhere using a variety of dome mounts, such as pendant and recessed mounts. A pendant mount allows the camera to hang from the mount arm as a pendant does on a necklace. A recessed mount hides the entire camera except for the dome. Cameras using these mounts usually are mounted in drop or tile ceilings.

Night Mode Camera

Nigh mode camera
There are some camcorder manufacturers that claim "night mode" that basically opens the aperture as wide as possible, slows the shutter way down and the resulting captured video is very grainy and any motion results in "ghosting" or "trailing". No infrared emitter is used...

Dvr And Dvr Card

Digital Video Recording or DVR is a method of recording TV and Video digitally, by means of compressing the video signal using a video encoder, such as MPEG-2 (The same encoder used for DVD movies).

There are three main ways to record TV and Video digitally:

• A stand alone Set-Top Digital Video Recorder (like TiVo) that records to a built-in hard drive.

• A stand alone Set-Top DVD Recorder that records to a built-in DVD drive and/or a built-in hard drive.

• A Computer with a TV or Video Capture Card that records TV and Video to the Computers hard drive.

Walk through Metal Detector

Metal detectors use electromagnetic fields to detect the presence of metallic objects. They exist in a variety of walk-through, hand-held, and vehicle-mounted models and are used to search personnel for hidden metallic objects at entrances to airports, public schools, courthouses, and other guarded spaces; to hunt for landmines, archaeological artifacts, and miscellaneous valuables; and for the detection of hidden or unwanted metallic objects in industry and construction. Metal detectors detect metallic objects, but do not image them. An x-ray baggage scanner, for example, is not classed as a metal detector because it images metallic objects rather than merely detecting their presence.

Metal detectors use electromagnetism in two fundamentally different ways, active and passive. (1) Active detection methods illuminate some detection space

Hand Scanner

A small handheld scanning device used for digitilazing images. While images from a handheld scanner are considered low quality, today's technology enables full color 24 bit scanning. Depending on the scanner device type and manufacturer, handheld scanners can also define, translate, and hear printed text, and can also store and beam text to computers and other device
